The Journey, Ep. 4: Where Ninefoot Is Made Inside Our Bali Workshop — Where Every Piece Comes to Life
Ninefoot Studio is a women's surfwear and swimwear brand based in Bali, creating high-performance surf bikinis, one pieces, and active swimwear designed by surfers, for surfers. Unlike traditional fashion brands, every Ninefoot piece is produced in our own workshop in Bali, allowing us to maintain quality, flexibility, and a more thoughtful approach to production.
Where Is Ninefoot Made? 💙
One of the questions we get asked most is where our products are made.
As a designer, having my own production space was always a dream. We started small, and last year we moved into a larger workshop — one designed to feel different from a traditional factory. Natural light, open space, and a team that genuinely enjoys being here.
Why We Produce In-House ✂️
Producing internally changed the way we work.
Instead of chasing trends or sitting on excess inventory, we focus on making pieces we believe in — and making what we actually sell. It keeps us flexible, intentional, and connected to every product that leaves this space.
It also means we can respond quickly, stay close to quality, and never feel too far removed from the work itself.
Built in Bali, With Bali 🌴
Ninefoot was born here, and keeping production in Bali has always mattered to us.
Our workshop, design studio, and store are all on the island. That means we can oversee quality while staying rooted in the community around us.

This is where ideas become products. Where we develop new silhouettes, test fabrics, refine details, and bring collections to life.
When I walk through the workshop, I see years of learning, growth, and hard work. What started as a small idea has become something real.
It's not the biggest factory. But it's ours.
And I couldn't be more proud of what we've built here in Bali.
